Link Group

Frontline leadership development

Preparing aspiring and new managers for success

The challenge

Link Group wanted to strengthen its pipeline of frontline leaders by preparing employees who were aspiring to management and supporting those who had recently stepped into their first management roles. Participants came from varied professional backgrounds and levels of management experience, so the programme needed to be practical, accessible and immediately relevant.

Our approach

AMC delivered the 14-week SPARK Frontline Leadership Development programme across four initial cohorts of approximately 8–10 participants. The programme used the 70-20-10 framework and combined structured learning, peer learning, learning-community sessions and practical workplace application.

Participants explored self-leadership, leadership strengths and identity, empathy, inclusion, listening, powerful questioning, coaching, feedback, relationship-building, delegation and goal-setting.

In their words

Participant feedback described the programme as engaging, thought-provoking and confidence-building. It also highlighted AMC’s ability to create a safe environment for open discussion and translate leadership concepts into practical application. Link Group subsequently commissioned AMC to deliver SPARK again.

“Balanced, engaging, thought provoking, and most importantly fun.”Participant feedback, SPARK programme

Southwark Council

Organisational development, culture and stakeholder engagement

The challenge

Teams working in complex housing and building-safety environments operate at pace, across competing priorities and high levels of responsibility. Time away from day-to-day delivery was needed to strengthen relationships, align around shared priorities and improve how people worked together.

Southwark Council commissioned AMC to design and facilitate a series of events for internal teams and a key external stakeholder group.

Our approach

AMC designed and facilitated away days for Southwark Council’s Building Safety and Landlord Services teams. The sessions created structured opportunities to build team cohesion, reflect on how colleagues worked together and develop a clearer sense of shared direction.

Technology was used to capture live feedback, test sentiment and gather participant insight in real time. AMC then produced post-event reports combining quantitative and qualitative insight, emerging themes and data-led recommendations.

AMC was also commissioned to facilitate an event for Tenant Management Organisation Managers, an important external stakeholder group working alongside the Council. The session encouraged participation, strengthened relationships and created constructive dialogue around shared priorities and challenges.

In their words

“The facilitator was amazing. She should do all the Council events. She was so engaging and enthusiastic that it made everyone feel the same. The time went by too quickly. WELL DONE!”Charmain B | Participant at a Southwark Council-commissioned event

Santander

Group coaching and leadership development

While working with a partner consultancy, Naomi led facilitated Mastermind sessions within Santander’s Black Talent programme. Forty participants were divided into four cohorts, each completing five structured sessions.

The format combined short learning inputs, peer problem-solving, individual leadership challenges, reflection, commitments and accountability. It helped participants develop leadership capability while applying learning to genuine professional challenges.

In their words

“I recommend Naomi’s leadership expertise as she hosted several group coaching masterclasses which were a fundamental part of Santander Accelerating You Black Talent programme. The engaging sessions were well structured and followed a winning formula allowing for personal reflections, insightful readings and peer to peer development. Naomi’s positive encouragement effectively amplified all voices in the room to have their turn in the spotlight and allowed for impactful brainstorming and subsequent key actions to be followed up, helping to facilitate accountability and individual change in approach to leadership challenges.”Michelle Grant | Santander Accelerating You Black Talent programme
